Kids for the Cure – Be Part of Something BIG! You don’t have to be a grown-up to raise money to end breast cancer. Kids ages 5-12 are encouraged to register as Kids for the Cure®! On Race Day, kids under 12 can run the bases at Oneok Field on predetermined times, meet Hornsby, the Tulsa Drillers mascot and take part in fun and interactive activities and crafts. Each child crossing home plate will receive a special prize! All registered participants will receive a T-shirt and special goodie bag.  For more information, please contact Michelle Hawkins at michhawkins@msn.com.

High School Challenge - The High School Team Challenge (HSTC) is designed to involve high school students in the fight against breast cancer through fundraising, awareness and participation in the Komen Race for the Cure®. Young people have incredible potential, motivation and power to make a big difference in their communities when given a meaningful task or project. This program is meant to empower high school students to get involved in the fight against breast cancer. The HSTC is a competition between high schools. Led by a Team Leader and faculty staff member, each high school joins together to form a team of students and staff members to run or walk in their local Komen Race for the Cure®. The Team Leader spearheads a promotional campaign to bring attention to the Race and to breast cancer awareness. The high schools compete with each other to find out who can form the most successful team. Success can be determined by the most participants, most money raised or other variables.  For more information, please contact Michelle Hawkins at michhawkins@msn.com.

The goals of the HSTC are to:

  • Increase breast cancer awareness among high school students;
  • Raise funds to help support the Komen for the Cure promise;
  • Increase participation of high school students in the Komen Race for the Cure®;
  • Have fun while positively affecting the community.

Lawyers for the Cure® - Calling All Lawyers!

Demonstrate your commitment to eradicating breast cancer, support patients fighting this disease and help educate the community by joining Lawyers for the Cure!

Komen Tulsa has received generous support from many local attorneys and law firms throughout the past 20 years and this participation has been an instrumental part of Komen Tulsa’s success. In an effort to expand the impact the Greater Tulsa legal community is making in the fight against breast cancer, we are initiating a new Lawyers for the Cure program. By joining Lawyers for the Cure, your one-time fee of $125 will include registration and fundraising and you will have the option to opt out of any future fundraising communications.

The law firm who raises the most funds leading to Race Day will not only enjoy free bragging rights amongst their fellow lawyers, but the top law firm will receive a free Team Tailgating Tent, including 50 breakfasts, a Team Banner and use of the tent for convenient meeting purposes and a prime opportunity to show the community your firm’s engagement in this fight.  For more information, please contact Beverly Atteberry at beverlyatteberry@aol.com

Sleep in for the Cure® - If you are going to be out of town, working or prefer to snooze instead of lacing up your racing shoes on Race Day, this is the event for you!

Please Click Here to register for Sleep In for the Cure®. This option allows you to support the cause from out of town or the comfort of your own bed.

Your registration will consist of all the same items as if you were at Oneok Field participating in the Race. Your registration will include a 2016 Race T-shirt, Race bib number and Komen Tulsa Race packet. Your registration will count toward the team total, and your fundraising will add to your team’s fundraising total. You will receive a fundraising page once you register.
