Welcome to "The Ta Ta Sisterhood" team of the Susan G Komen Race for the Cure® team page! Last year we raced as "Team Darla". This year we merged with Pryor's Pink Pack (Colleen Dinsmore, Pam Peters & thier families). So, we changed our name to "The Ta Ta Sisterhood". Between the two teams last year we raised over $15,000. We are getting a late start this year but hope we can top that total!!
Come join our team, Saturday, September 24, 2016 at OneOk Field, our team tailgate tent will be located inside OneOk field near the corner of Elgin & Archer in downtown Tulsa. If you can't be there, please donate or join the team and help raise money for ending breast cancer and for money that goes to help ladies with breast cancer. If you have a company that matches your funds, please donate and submit your matching, it takes time for the matching to catch up with the team. I was given a newly diagnosed bag at my surgeon's office from Susan G Komen, it was fabulous and filled with a blanket for chemo, socks, t-shirt, hat and most importantly lots of information like questions to ask your doctor, etc. The information alone was so valuable.
Our team is having a bunko fund raiser in Pryor at the Catholic Church on 9/26/16 at 6pm, the Monday after the race. Colleen Dinsmore & Pam Peters are the masters at this, I'm their helper. More to come on that, the fund raising doesn't end until 10/31/16. But ther race is less than a month away. Please register today, so we can get our T-shirts ordered.
As a member of this team, we are each playing a part in helping Susan G. Komen® end breast cancer forever. I'm so happy to say that I had my port removed in July and I don't have to go back to see my surgeon. WooHoo! Thank you to my family & friends for the love and support last year and continued love & support this year.
Together, we are fueling the best science, boldest community and biggest impact in the fight against breast cancer. And we will not stop until this disease is gone forever. That’s our promise.
Will you please join us in this fight by making a donation today?
Love.... Darla Metheny
